Critique Groups via Discord
What we do
We are still holding virtual sessions.
NOTE: We plan to continue using Discord to offer permanent online options for those who cannot attend physical meetings now that we are meeting at the library again.
Meetings are held every Monday. See our calendar here.
These sessions will be focused on editing and critiquing the work we have been working so hard to create, just like our in-person meetings.
What to "bring"
1500 Words or less (approx. 10 pages)
Upload your work directly to our Google Drive before each meeting.
All you need for these sessions is access to a computer or mobile device with internet access and the Discord app so you can participate with us.
*** Webcam is not required, but a microphone/headset is recommended to speak with members during the meetings.
*** We also recommend getting familiar with Discord ahead of time, and you are more than welcome to join now to chat with other members between meetings.
*** Please let us know before our session if you don't have these options available to you. We can then arrange for the group to read your work independently and send you feedback by email.
There are multiple ways to participate through our new Discord server such as voice chat, text, video streaming, and sharing screens or files through the server. You can download the free app on your computer's desktop, the Apple Store, or Google Play.
Important to know
Since this is a virtual meeting, please be sure to contact us as soon as possible if you are having any technical trouble. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for help before our meeting if possible.
